Their story
Married John Weppner at St. Boniface Church on 21 July 1853. The register spells her name Germann and gives her parents as Johann Christian Germann and Christina Barbier of Habkirchen, “in Bavaria,” meaning the Bavarian Palatinate. Widowed by the Civil War with three young children, she later married again, and WikiTree records her as Susanna Weppner Illig. She outlived John by more than half a century.
