Their story
Dennis followed his father, Dr. David F. Weppner, into medicine and, like his uncle Dr. Edward C. Weppner, chose obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his medical degree in 1986 at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and trained in obstetrics and gynecology through the State University of New York's residency consortium. Board certified in his specialty, he has been in medicine for about forty years, caring for women and their babies at Buffalo General Medical Center and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, and physician directories note a particular focus on high-risk pregnancy. He also runs his own practice, Dennis Weppner, MD, P.C., and earned an MBA through the University at Buffalo School of Management's Executive MBA program, which makes him a UB graduate like his son Sean and his grandfather Elmer, who finished the University of Buffalo's law course in 1916. He and his wife Kathleen raised five children: Sean, Dennis, Meaghan, Patrick and Timothy. In 2026 his son Sean dedicated this family history to him.
