Johann Adam Weppner

Their story

Augustus Weppner's father. He was born at Westhofen, a wine village near Worms, on 13 June 1742, the son of Johannes Balthasar Weppner, who had been born there in 1696, and Maria Gertrud Holzemer of nearby Herrnsheim. On 3 August 1762, aged twenty, he married Maria Anna Sabina Albert of Bürstadt at Westhofen. The Catholic registers there record at least thirteen children born to them between 1763 and 1783, and at least four died as small children. Augustus, baptized Carolus Augustinus in December 1783, was the youngest. Johann Adam died at Westhofen; the date hasn't been found yet.
