She married Augustus about 1817 and bore their children at Zell and Pfeddersheim before the family sailed for America in the summer of 1834. In 1850 the family lived in Buffalo's fourth ward. She died in Buffalo on 17 September 1858, eleven years before her husband, and is named with him on their headstone: “His wife Barbara Weppner, died Sept. 17, 1858, aged 60 y's 9 mo.” A family announcement printed in 1900 gives her birth year as 1799.
